Colorado voters: read this before you sign ANYTHING
Right now, voters across Colorado are being asked to sign petitions to place measures on the November ballot that could have far-reaching effects.
And sometimes, the petition circulators aren’t being honest. In some cases, voters are being tricked into signing petitions for ballot measures that don’t reflect their values. [1]
Our friends at The Bell Policy Center are here to help voters understand this year's confusing ballot measure landscape. Click here to get the facts about 2026 Colorado ballot measures before they qualify for the ballot, so you can make an informed decision while petitions are still in circulation.
They are calling it "Before You Sign" and it's a great resource for Colorado voters who don't want to take a paid signature gatherer's word for it.
For each measure approved for signature gathering, the Bell has a short description of what the measure proposes to do, key facts, arguments for and against, proponents and opponents, and what the status of the measure is — whether backers are collecting signatures, have submitted signatures for verification, or if the measure has been withdrawn.
Don't be pressured into signing a petition to get a measure on the ballot without a clear understanding of the measure’s implications. And don't rely on information from circulators who may not be truthful.
Thanks for doing your part as an informed progressive voter!
