As you’ve probably read in the news, the Trump administration announced it will be sending election monitors from the Justice Department to Adams County. [1] And that could just be the beginning. [2]

Election monitoring is routine in normal years, but nothing about this year is normal. Officials across the country are deeply worried about the possibility of interference in the election if President Trump doesn’t like the results.

In Colorado, the law makes it easy to vote and hard to cheat. Republican and Democratic politicians in Colorado know our election system works because they all owe their jobs to it.

Colorado's elections are safe and secure. Your vote counts. More than ever. Here is how you make sure:

1. Sign up for BallotTrax. If you’ve got your ballot, or have already turned it in, BallotTrax will send you text alerts on exactly where your ballot is in the counting process.
2. If you don’t have a mail ballot, or still need to register to vote, in Colorado you can do all of that right up to Election Day! Visit GoVoteColorado.gov to register to vote, find secure ballot drop boxes in your area, or find a vote center to cast your ballot right now. The last suggested day to mail back a ballot is Monday, October 26. After Monday, don’t try to mail your ballot; find a secure drop box instead.

Donald Trump isn’t on the ballot, but his attacks on the democratic process out of spite after losing the 2020 election have done enormous damage.
