Proposition 135: Restrictions on medical care
Vote NO on Proposition 135
Proposition 135 suggests prohibiting physicians from providing certain medical procedures. Proposition 135 would make it impossible for medical providers to provide any necessary care that impacts or alters a child’s biological sex characteristics. It would also prohibit the use of federal funds, Medicaid, or insurance to pay for such care. 135 would impact the ability of physicians to provide life-saving care to children suffering from certain types of childhood cancer and other rare diseases and conditions that impact the reproductive system. Additionally, this proposition unfairly targets transgender youth. Proposition 135 seeks to regulate and politicize private medical decisions that should be made between medical professionals and families.
