Proposition 136: Capping the income tax rate
Vote NO on Proposition 136
Proposition 136 asks Colorado voters to cap the income tax rate at 4.4%. The cap would apply uniformly across individuals and corporations of all income levels. Proposition 136 would ensure that even the biggest earners and largest corporations could not be taxed more than they currently are.
This proposition directly conflicts with Amendment 87, the Graduated Income Tax, or Income Tax Fairness Act, also on the ballot this year. For the Income Tax Fairness Act to work, there cannot be an income tax rate cap.
